Circuit breakers
High voltage circuit breakers had to be adapted to the increasing demands of electric power switching. Oilfilled circuit breakers could explode and burn down. In 1929 Siemens-Schuckertwerke therefore developed oilless high voltage circuit breakers, e. g. for 10 kV, which soon became one of the most widespread high voltage circuit breakers.
