Electrical tramway
The first electrical tramway in the world was built by Siemens & Halske in 1881. It connected Berlin and Lichtenfelde covering a distance of 2.5 km. The motor had 5 HP and worked at 180 V direct current. The car carried 20 passengers at a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
