Economic trends lead the company to set up Costruttori Associati Meridionali (CAM) with other members, which is subsequently purchased in its entirety.
Italian activities in the sector of processors result in the setup of Unidata SpA following a similar operation between Siemens AG, Philips and the French company CII for activities in the processor sector on an international basis. A few years later, international collaboration ends and the company returns under the name of Siemens Data.
Via a series of share exchange operations, Siemens AG purchases the total stock of Osram GmbH. The group becomes part of the Siemens Group also in Italy.
Research laboratories are started up for Baruffaldi Frizioni and radiological and medical plant production sites, the latter in line with the Research Centre of Erlangen Germany.
At the end of the decade, the structure of Siemens Elettra comprises the division of power application and installation techniques, the parts, measurement equipment and systems division, the radio television and household appliance division and the radiological and electromedical equipment division.
