The company boasts virtually 70% of supply of telephone connections. In the years 1941-42, turnover reaches 325.6 million Lire. The Siemens Group in Italy is represented by Siemens SA, SA Olap, SA Isaria, SA Alfieri & Colli, Gorla-Siama SA, Radion SA, Società Italiana dei Forni Elettrici and Elettrocarbonium.
In 1942, the companies Siemens, Olap, Isaria, Alfieri & Colli merge under the name Siemens SpA, with 4018 employees. Employees of the Siemens Group in Italy total 5600.
Due to the war, Siemens, like the other companies in the group, is placed under receivership for the next five years. Production levels drop, to regain strength gradually towards the end of the decade in the fields of installation materials, special meters and household appliances. Large-scale plant equipment production remains excluded.
